A temporary layout using the Kato Unitrack system. The Yamanote E233 is a Kato set while the Chuo Sobu line is Tomix. Generally, tomix trains run faster than their Kato counterparts. The issue lies in price, Tomix trains are dearer and their interior light units are also more difficult to find and more expensive as well. I have included buildings from Kato, Tomix, as well as Greenmax. The sound of the trains is from a sound unit by tomytec. Any of you use either train brands or track systems? let me know. Cheers!!

Hi Derek:
ReplyDeleteNice sets! Yeah I run mine on the Tomix tracks and those trains are just lovely to run and looks prefect!
*By the way, the Kato Yamanote-sen is a E231-500, not a E233 series... :P
The Chuo-Sobu line is likely an E231-0 series ~
Cheers and thanks for sharing!
