Hi everyone, hope you are having a blessed time so far! Today, we will be looking at a trading figures collection, the All Nippon Airways (ANA) uniform series 1. This is a series similar to the Tetsudo Musume (Railroad daughter) collection series but there are only 2 in the ANA uniform series while the Tetsudo Musume has exceeded 10 by now. Unfortunately, I do not have the entire collection for series 1 but if you do know where i can get the missing ones (not an entire set) please let me know in the comments. I'd really appreciate that.
We start off with the 1958 uniform. Even then, you can see that the Japanese have a thing for complete uniforms, from caps to bags. I apologise if the background is distracting. I'm using my sleeping bag for now. Hopefully, I'll get a proper dark cloth for the next series :).
Next is the 1966 uniform. The hand bag is gone (budget cuts?). I would like to highlight one concern of anyone who displays items - dust. As you can see, I hav'nt been very dilligent in my dusting and some residue is rather apparent on the base.
The 1979 Uniform. My favourite feature aboout this particular uniform is the inclusion of the hand carry luggage and the trolley. I liked how they included the elastic band that secures the luggage to the trolley; considering that this figure is more than 15 years old, it is rather impressive.
The 1990 uniform. Its coming closer to what we would associate with the typical air stewarddess uniform, dark colours, business suits... but still the cap :) ..... and the dust arrgh!
The 2005 uniform, my personal favourite as that was when I started regularly visiting Japan and experienced their exemplary service. Till today, my preferred carriers when travelling to Japan are still ANA and Japan Airlines (JAL) Unfortunately, the lighting does not really do the figure justice.
The five girls in a group shot :) Actually, that's how they are displayed.
Just for fun, I included the 2014 uniform, (warning: these are not figures, please do not touch or you'll find yourself polishing bars for some time ). So which is your preferred year of uniform? Also, do you prefer more detailed shots like the ones in this post? please let me know in the comments below. Stay blessed!!!
